Sr Data Engineer

The Senior Data Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining optimized and highly available data pipelines. The Senior Data Engineer works on several solutions at a time that tend to be of high complexity. They may manage small projects and juggle multiple responsibilities. The Senior Data Engineer performs troubleshooting and issue resolution for highly complex software problems. Will have the responsibility of mentoring associate engineers. **Responsibilities** + Drives successful solution adoption and implementation for medium to complex portfolios + Works on several large and enterprise wide projects. + Participates in strategy design and leads initiatives + Designs solutions for large scale initiatives + Has Intermediate to advanced skills in data engineering on cloud in GCP and or AWS. + Is an expert in working with large databases, BI applications, data quality, and performance tuning + Has expert knowledge of developing end-to-end business intelligence solutions: data modeling, ETL, and reporting + Has deep understanding of data gathering, inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modeling/diagramming techniques + May act as an escalation point for others + Has outstanding written and communication skills + Identifies and drives process improvement + Responsible for improving availability, security, compliance, interoperability, performance and reengineering activities + Grows into role of a recognized subject matter expertin one or more functions + Has excellent communication skills, ability to work individually and in a broader geographically dispersed team + Remote eligible. _The job summary and responsibilities listed above are designed to indicate the general nature of the work performed within this job. Employees may be required to perform other duties as assigned._ **Qualifications** + Bachelors Required, Masters preferred + 5-8 years of relevant experience required including several technology solutions in data engineering, big data and data platforms. + 8+Years preferred + 3-5 years experience in design, development, and hands-on implementation of data solutions on Google and or AWS cloud solutions. + 5+ years in relational database concepts with a solid knowledge of star schema, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Tuning, OLAP, Big Data technologies, SnowFlake, Big Query etc. + 2-3 experience in AI in data space and working on AI/ML Initiatives. + 5+ years experience with building data pipelines in data lake or data warehouses. + 3 years of Architecting, design and implementing “enterprise scope” projects / products and Data Management + 3-4 years of experience in Cerner, EPIC and Lawson systems preferred + 5 years of Secure Data Engineering and scripting (Shell, Python etc). + 5 years experience in healthcare data, building clinical and non-clinical solutions that drives patient outcomes is preferred **Pay Range** $46.96 - $68.10 /hour We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
