Skills and Competencies:

3+ years of demonstrable experience in data management and data transformation roles.Experience with Master Data Management and Data Governance tools such as SQL, dBeaver, Alteryx, Collibra. Knowledge of Legal Entities and Corporate Family Structures. Ability to create and maintain data dictionaries, database structures, data lineage mapping, and data governance reporting. Experience working with large data sets. Proficient communication skills to simplify complex themes and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Analytical mindset to investigate, analyze, and continuously improve data taxonomies and attributes for key workflow data sets.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Economics or a related field.

Responsibilities:

Actively steward a data domain, working closely with Lead Analysts and Ratings Managers.Review and approve data changes in workflow.Investigate, analyze and continuously improve data taxonomies and data attributes for key workflow data sets to support digital solutions.Ensure data domain adheres to data governance frameworks and policies.Assist in developing an initial set of harmonized data requirements contributing to efficiency and quality enhancements.Participate in the definition of data concepts, common reference data, and establish sound data usage practices with relevant partners.Partner with technology, data, and process teams to develop next-generation data structure plan including creating databases, supporting data migration activities, and establishing data governance practices.Identify and assess a new and/or third party data source for use within a business workflow.Collaborate across key Moody’s Ratings partners to determine the data required to deliver the target state service solution, and map the end-to-end data lineage.Identify, clean, validate and migrate data elements from legacy databases to modern data infrastructure.Assist in designing and monitoring key performance indicators related to key data processes and data quality, and monitor and report on observed process performance including to suggest data improvements.Contribute to a rigorous and consistent framework to govern data changes and align this approach with partner teams.Challenge the status quo and provide an innovative way of thinking for out-of-the-box data solutions, data performance metrics, and new or third-party data sources.Work in Agile pods to define business data requirements for digital technology solutions, identify any opportunities to improve and re-develop technology solutions with Product Owners

Working closely with cross-functional teams and adopting Agile operating methods, you will develop data lineage flows, design databases, and define data elements to support digital solutions. Your expertise in data governance frameworks and policies will ensure adherence to best practices and quality enhancements. As part of our innovative team, you will collaborate with technology, data, and process teams to develop next-generation data structures and establish sound data governance practices. With your analytical skills and innovative thinking, you will contribute to the transformation of Ratings and Research's work processes, supporting the adoption of generative AI technologies and driving efficiency and quality enhancements. For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is [[$102,300 - [[$148,350, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
