Sr Demand Forecasting Mgr - TG
The Demand Forecasting Senior Manager is responsible for serving as the end-to-end owner of Topgolf’s bay-level demand forecasting algorithm, to include generating and distributing regular bay-level demand forecasts, monitoring and maintaining algorithm performance, prioritizing and sequencing proposed enhancements to improve accuracy and fidelity, and maintaining visualizations for end-users.The Demand Forecasting Senior Manager will also drive ad-hoc analyses that inform strategic initiatives related to inventory planning and execution.ResponsibilitiesServe as end-to-end owner of bay-level demand forecasting activities (ML-based demand forecasting algorithm); manage the production and distribution of daily/weekly bay-level demand forecasts to Inventory Management team and venue operatorsManage and monitor performance of demand forecast across all Topgolf venue locations; conduct analysis and make adjustments/model improvements as needed to maintain and improve forecast accuracy and fidelityIdentify and leverage internal Topgolf and external data sources to sustain and improve forecast performanceEnsure demand forecast is accessible by cross-functional TG teams (e.g., Finance, Operations) for use in their core operating activitiesRegularly collect and synthesize feedback from demand forecast end-users (Inventory Management team and venue operators); prioritize improvements and build development roadmap accordinglyCollaborate with Business Intelligence team to develop and refine forecast visualizations to improve experience of Inventory Management team and venue operators; focus on intuitive performance management reporting and highlighting future opportunities that enable proactive adjustmentsServe as a subject matter expert on Topgolf’s data; collaborate with OnPAR team to develop analytics to solve specific business problems Provide visibility into OnPAR team’s performance on key growth and operations metrics through standardized and ad-hoc reportingCollaborate with functional teams (e.g., Finance, Operations) to foster alignment and cooperation in support of key strategic initiativesEducation and experienceBachelor's Degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Finance (Required); Master's Preferred3-5 years of direct experience managing Machine Learning techniques and statistical methods (Python, SQL, or R) actively used in operational environmentsExpertise in manipulating large datasets to provide strategic insights and performance reportingRobust critical thinking and problem-solving abilities; comfort working through ambiguityExperience with ETL automation (Alteryx, KNIME, etc.)Strong written and verbal communication abilities with direct experience crafting insights for executive audiences.
