Summary: Seeking a Sr Design Specialist to create and review mechanical and electro-mechanical designs, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and producibility constraints.
Job Requirements:
Proficient in tolerance analysis and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Comprehensive knowledge of military drawings, specifications, and applicable MILSPEC/STD's
Minimum 9 years of design/drafting experience using Pro-E/Creo CAD system
Creo 7 experience is required
Associate Degree with emphasis in engineering drafting/design or equivalent training/experience
US Citizen only
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Model Based Definition (MBD)
Comprehensive product line knowledge at component, subsystem, and system levels
Working knowledge of production methods and understanding of human factors
Job Responsibilities:
Create innovative mechanical and electro-mechanical concepts/designs for components, assemblies, tools, products
Review completed engineering documents for compliance with standards/specifications
Develop highly innovative concepts for existing product lines/new development programs
Prepare complex design layouts, schematics, sketches to satisfy system requirements within cost constraints
Prepare drawing packages to military or ASME standards
Check completed layouts/drawings/test plans/reports for clarity/completeness/conformance to standards/specifications/codes
Evaluate completed drawings/specifications/procedures for producibility/viability of design
Pay Details: $34.00 to $45.00 per hour
