The Senior Lighting and Production Designer is required to be educated in a variety of standard lighting design concepts and practices. There expected to contribute to creative projects at all scales and be familiar with current lamp technologies and lighting fixture capabilities. Time management, creativity and good judgment is expected in order to plan and accomplish project goals and meet project deadlines. The Senior Lighting and Production Designer is required to be educated in a wide variety of standard lighting design concepts and practices and be proficient with current lamp technologies and lighting fixture capabilities. Time management, creativity and sound judgment are critical to this position in order to plan and accomplish project goals and meet project deadlines. They also need to understand the workings of different types of theatres, either inside or outside venues, to have knowledge of show controls, such as but not limited to, lighting, rigging, stagecraft, special effects and sound control. To be working with the construction team to make sure all controls for the theatre are designed per Wynn standards and will work properly for the intended venue. To supervise and program the shows to make sure the controls work together as one.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Coordinate with the CCO, V.P, Design and Director, Lighting and Production Design, as assigned in the development of lighting designs for various WDD projects. Create and produce lighting layouts, datasheets, lighting specifications, sections, elevations and details. Create and produce the preparation of lighting plans and details for schematic, preliminary, and construction drawings as assigned. Produce fixture specifications per approved standards. Assist the Director, Lighting Design in preparing project budgets. Review new products and attend manufacturer's presentations as required. Prepare project punch lists. Prepare field visit reports. Assist with construction administration and observation. Direct light fixture focus. Direct the setting of lighting levels and lighting scenes. (*These activities typically occur outside of regular working hours) Assist with the maintenance of lighting designs for Wynn properties. Interface with the Engineering teams for the Wynn/Encore properties. Job-related travel within and outside the United States may be required.Oversee other lighting designers as directed by the Director, Lighting and Production Design To oversee a theatrical installation, where you would supervise the consultants and make sure the controls and craftmanship are up standards with Wynn Design Direct and oversee the work of outside Lighting Design Consultants that may be used for Wynn projects. Communicate and coordinate with the various in-house and consultant Interior Design teams for all projects. Job related travel within and outside the United States may be required. Oversee theatrical installations, including supervision of the consultants to ensure the controls and craftmanship comply with Wynn standards. Coordinate with WDD Construction to ensure all controls for the venue are designed per Wynn standards and will work properly for the intended venue. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Required:
Bachelor of Fine Arts in Lighting Design or a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design with experience in Interior Lighting Design required. Acceptance based on portfolio review, interview and prior job history.Minimum of 7 years of experience working for a professional lighting design firm, preferably in Casino and Hospitality Design Industry.Preferred:
International project and/or client experience within the past three yearsFour and/or Five Star resort hospitality or residential experienceStrong previous peer consultant relationships based on successful project experience and trustSPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with the WDD Team as well as within the Company.Must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality; handling sensitive information concerning both the Company and its projects.Must be adept at multi-tasking and utilizing exceptional organizational skills.Must be proficient in MS Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.Proficient in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Architecture 2021 or newer and Revit 2021 or newer. Essential duties for this position include but are not limited to the following: able to work within a variety of climates. Safely lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds on occasions as well as sit for up to 90% of the workday. Repetitive bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing and pulling will potentially be required throughout the shift and exposed to potentially hazardous conditions.
