Sr Director Government Relations
As Sr Director Government Relations, you will drive initiatives to support the development and implementation of corporate policy through strategic partnerships with government and industry groups. You'll be responsible for representing the company on legislative and regulatory affairs with elected officials and government officials in regulatory agencies and ensure appropriate company participation in government forums and industry group meetings. You'll develop key relationships with designated trade and business associations, and advocacy groups on political, legislative and regulatory issues of importance to the company and ensure communications on behalf of the company are clear and consistent. You'll also monitor federal legislative proposals in order to support the assessment of opportunities available within and beyond our existing markets, offerings and business models

At SNC’s Washington, D.C. office we are responsible for government affairs, international strategy, international business, and trade and regulatory compliance. We provide strategic guidance across the organization, helping to find alignment and compliance between SNC and the national security priorities of the U.S. government.

Must Haves:

Preferred:

Typically 12-15 years of relevant experience; 7+ years of experience working on legislative matters in the private sector, a Congressional office, or an Executive AgencyPossess a track record of delivering results by developing and implementing advocacy programs in the legislative and executive branchesDemonstrated first-hand familiarity with congressional and executive branch politics, processes, customs, and ethicsBackground in the Aerospace and Defense Industry,  the US Department of Defense (Civilian), NASA/Civil or commercial space  and/or US Military, with an understanding of defense, aerospace, intelligence, and adjacent marketsPentagon assignment experienceExperience interacting with OSD officesMilitary experience

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

This position requires current/active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
