**About the Role:**
As People Business Partner Sr. Director for CBRE’s IA&R business, you will lead the HR function for a global line of business of 1,000 employees across the Americas, Asia Pacific and Europe. As a key member of the management board, you’ll be a strategic leader in the business, guiding the talent practices for the organization. We are looking for someone who knows how to partner with others, lead through influence, develop a talent strategy and lead a team of business partners across 20 countries in a highly matrixed organization.
**What You’ll Do:**
Lead People Business Partner Team
+ Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
+ Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
+ Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Negotiate with senior management, customers, and external parties of divergent interests to reach an agreement of strategic importance while being guided by the business segment and the organization's functional strategy.
+ Empower US and EMEA/APAC roles are left to run their respective areas
Coach and Consultant Business Leadership
+ Conduct regular meetings with business leaders and empower organizational leaders to handle people-related matters effectively (serve as an advisor and consultant)
+ Help management develop talent for key roles
+ Provide advanced interpretation and implementation of company policies and procedures. This includes sensitive information, employee relations, performance management, succession planning, etc.
+ Consult with leaders to build knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage their teams to create a stronger, more autonomous management structure
+ Advise management on the proper handling of all reductions in labor and other complicated business scenarios.
Business Transformation
+ Identify and lead projects focused on enhancing the talent strategy for the organization for the near and long term, resulting in significant impact on the future of the business. Projects may include:
o Establishing global compensation principles
o Organizational structure review through the lens of minimizing layers of management and aligning to optimal spans of control
o Partnering with the business to develop a staffing pricing model for new business pursuits
Enhance Department Culture and Experience
+ Provide advice and suggestions for cultural transformation initiatives to shape a strong organizational culture
+ Implement HR strategies and programs related to employee wellness, DE&I, and talent management, including areas like onboarding, training, development, career pathing, compensation strategies
+ Collaborate with management and personnel to resolve conflicts, promote positive employee relations, maintain a positive work environment, boost morale, and reduce turnover
Craft a Competitive Workforce
+ Identify and create training and development programs aligned with business goals.
+ Optimizing the organizational structure to enhance productivity and performance
+ Collaborate with Talent Acquisition team members to implement innovative and inclusive recruitment strategies
+ Partner with Total Rewards and Benefits to advise on compensation and benefits for employees
+ Implement reward and recognition programs that improve both financial results and employee engagement
Engage through Business Acumen
+ Understand the business and be closely aligned with the senior business partners and other team members. Provide expert insight into operational issues and goals.
+ Apply deep knowledge of multiple disciplines, broad industry knowledge, and commercial awareness. Drive financial and functional performance within disciplines and across business.
+ Conceptualize new methods, techniques, processes, and standards across job disciplines or functions.
+ Direct the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems by applying advanced critical thinking.
+ Use data strategically to advise the business on how to drive performance and achieve objectives, including local and cultural nuances.

+ Bachelor's Degree preferred with 12-15 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
+ Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring,
+ appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
+ Ability to exchange sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
+ Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.
+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Expert organizational skills with an unrivaled inquisitive mindset.
+ Expert math skills. Ability to calculate complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. IL candidates - The minimum salary for the Sr Director position is $180,000 per year and the maximum salary for the Sr Director position is $200,000 per year. NY candidates - The minimum salary for the Sr Director position is $200,000 per year and the maximum salary for the Sr Director position is $220,000 per year. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
