We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Designer with extensive MicroStation experience to join our dynamic water/wastewater engineering team. In this role, you will work on critical projects, designing and developing electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and related infrastructure.
Your Role:
· Develop detailed electrical design drawings using MicroStation, including power distribution, one-line diagrams, lighting plans, grounding, and conduit layout plans for water/wastewater facilities.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (mechanical, civil, structural, and process engineers) to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs. Prepare and review electrical design documents, ensuring compliance with industry standards and local codes. Support project managers and engineers during project planning, design, and construction phases, ensuring accurate electrical design specifications. Conduct site visits to assess existing electrical systems and provide recommendations for improvements or modifications. Participate in design review meetings and provide technical input to resolve design challenges and ensure project deadlines are met. Assist in the development of project proposals, including the preparation of cost estimates, schedules, and scope of work for electrical design tasks.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an electrical designer, preferably in the water/wastewater industry. Proficient in MicroStation and other electrical design software (AutoCAD experience is a plus). Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and other relevant electrical codes. Experience in designing electrical systems for industrial facilities, especially water/wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations. Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with engineers, project managers, and clients. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and organizational skills.
