Sr Electrical Designer (Shipbuilding)

Summary: Seeking a Sr Electrical Designer with 6+ years of experience in the Shipbuilding industry.

Job Requirements:

6+ years experience in shipbuilding electrical design

Completion of two years of college-level coursework equivalent to an AA degree in Industrial Technology or related field

Preferred Skills:

Proficiency in Ship Constructor for CAD

Knowledge of regulatory requirements and practices

Understanding of manufacturing processes

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare layouts, charts, graphs, maps, engineered designs, drawings, and diagrams from technical specifications

Design details of work and coordinate with other sections when appropriate

Check drawings and ensure CAD standards are followed

Design to company standards and common materials where possible

Ensure work meets requirements of applicable Regulatory Body and job specifications

Follow standard practices and procedures (e.g., PRNs, ECPs, EARs, Budget Requests)

Coordinate and review required vendor information

Incorporate and document comments from owners, regulatory bodies, and other governing entities



Pay Details: $33.00 to $45.00 per hour
