The Senior EMEA Payroll SME will be working closely with the Payroll Team Leader and the Payroll processing team, helping the Team Leader to coordinate and monitor the team’s activities, to ensure adequate procedures are in place and compliant with country specific requirements.
The role involves managing and validating input data for the external service provider, checking payroll results, working with strict timetables, to make sure that salaries and statutory payments are processed in an accurate and timely manner.
The Senior Payroll SME is expected to continuously look for ways to improve and streamline the current processes, keeping documentation up to date, and supporting team members in problem-solving and decision making.Complete ownership of accurate and timely payroll processing for the assigned countriesAnalyze payroll results, investigate differences, conduct root cause analysisAddress and solve discrepancies in collaboration with payroll vendor, HR, Finance teamsMaintain subject matter expertise and assist in maintaining a strategic and coordinated approach regarding regulations, business and compliance requirementsProactively analyze payroll related practices, participate in process improvement and automation projects, and preparing templatesProvide support for Payroll SME team, assuring timely and accurate payroll service delivery, in accordance with domestic compliance regulationsHelp the team to complete regular payroll reconciliations, to verify eligibility and accuracyAdvise team members to handle queries from employees, HR, and Finance teamsCollaborate with the Payroll Team Leader and Manager, Finance, GPC and Human Resources teams to use the capabilities of the payroll system to support strategic decisions, financial analyses, and other related special projects as neededSupport the establishment of appropriate internal controls and the development of standard audit proceduresEffectively communicate required changes/updates within the team, Ensuring best practices and that, knowledge documentation and standard operating procedures are kept up to dateAssist with payroll related audit requestsCoordinate and monitor smaller projects within the team
