About the Team

Our Solutions Consulting - Enterprise Architecture team is a strategic partner to the sales organization and responsible for building a compelling vision of the Workday solution for our customers and prospects with some of the largest organizations in the world. Our culture is the foundation of the way we work together and how we hold each other accountable.
We help our customers to best manage their human capital, financial, supply chain and student data and processes. We do this by collaborating to identify customer goals and challenges, and then propose and demonstrate solutions that apply Workday’s Enterprise Management Cloud and related solutions. We are strategic advisors to CIOs and CTOs, in support of their broader missions to empower business leaders. About the Role

Workday is looking for a dynamic and driven Senior Enterprise Architect with expertise to join our Public Sector (City, County, & State Government) focused enterprise solution consulting team. 

This is your chance to engage in strategic conversations and demonstrate the value of next-generation cloud-based Workday solutions to organizations in the United States. You will partner with our Sales organization as well as Solution Consultants to sell Enterprise Management software to new and existing customers. We focus on how Workday acts as a key enabler of change within a customer's environment, allowing IT leaders to support the needs of their stakeholders.

Responsibilities include: 

The delivery of relevant technical product presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and webinars.. 

Crafts detailed design and implementation specifications for sophisticated products/applications/solutions

Assists in the closure of sales opportunities by demonstrating a complete understanding of and resolving questions regarding our solution, services, and training.

Supports the qualification of prospects, proposed demonstration criteria, proof of concept system builds and sales cycle closure plans. 

Supports all sales, marketing, technical and channel objectives. 

Assists sales in the response to RFIs, RFPs,RFXs, Security questionnaires and technical requests 

Leads discovery sessions in partnership with sales to ask qualifying questions and understand struggles, current business processes,  and ideal future state

Ability to travel 50+% of the time

About You

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of expertise with technical knowledge of information technology, software as a service (SaaS), cloud architectures, information security, data reporting and analytics, and integration frameworks 

2+ years public sector experience

Other Qualifications

Software pre-sales, value based selling experience working with enterprise business applications in a

Existing knowledge of Workday application architecture and platform is highly beneficial

Solid understanding of information security frameworks, security standards and guidelines

Knowledge of common security certifications and audits (ISO 27001, ISO 27018, SOC-1, SOC-2 etc.) preferred

Knowledge of platform cloud architectures (AWS, GCP, & Azure), preferred

Familiarity with web service integration standards such as WSDL, SOAP, UDDI and JSO

Experience with data integration, business intelligence, and/or analytics tools, preferred

Experience or knowledge of SaaS delivery and deployment model, preferred

Experience in value selling, demo to win or solution consulting methodologies, preferred

Experience presenting to technical, business, and executive audiences


Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
