Sr Enterprise Risk Management Analyst

Hybrid Role: Must be able to come on-site periodically and reside a commutable distance from the assigned work location.

Emergency Response: Yes – Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE’s emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers.

Job Summary

Supports the development and maintains the framework for fact-based risk analysis critical to strategic business decision making.  Supports the integration of longer-term (three to five years) Company strategies (i.e. corporate, business unit, and regulatory).  Span of Control: 0 individual contributor
 

Key Accountabilities

•    Ensures that a variety of enterprise level risks throughout the company are captured and documented. 
•    Helps to drive and populate agendas and schedules for monthly Operational Risk and Resiliency (ORR) and Risk Management Committee (RMC) meetings.  Ensures committee members review and assess enterprise risks including pending approvals for contracts, if necessary. 
•    Assists and collaborates with business units and meeting presenters, to ensure ORR and RMC meeting objectives are clear, key milestones are understood, and that high-quality products will be presented.
•    Supports the preparation of an annual Top Risk Analysis for presentation to the Company’s Board of Directors with significant input from Senior Management.
•    Participates in the review and analysis of contract reviews (including sales, purchase joint venture, and investments) to ensure enterprise risks are identified, assessed, and managed.
•    Provides Ad-Hoc risk reviews as requested/needed.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

•    Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field 5 years of experience in risk or utilities
 

Other Qualifications

Preferred:

Previous energy industry experience Knowledge of regulated Utility industries Experience with evaluating internal and external risk factor. Experience with presentation to Executives

•    Ability to effectively perform all aspects of project management.
•    Effective oral and written in communication skills in multiple formats for varied audiences.
•    Strong analytical, problem solving and investigative skills.
•    Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office business applications (i.e Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
•    Ability to effectively work in a team environment.
•    Strong organizational skills and ability to use supporting tools/systems.
•    Ability to identify and safeguard confidential information
