Sr ESG Reporting & Controls Analyst

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior ESG Reporting and Controls Analyst is responsible for assisting with the preparation of internal and external Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting as well as with facilitating an effective internal controls program over the Company’s related processes and controls.

This position will be part of Charter’s Business Process and Controls team, which is comprised primarily of former big four accounting professionals, providing the collaboration and team feel of public accounting while enjoying great work/life balance. The group continues to expand and is responsible for Charter’s internal controls program.

You will have ownership for specific processes and will work directly with business owners to implement solutions for managing risks and establishing robust internal controls and processes. You will get great exposure to leaders across the organization and you will be seen as a trusted advisor when critical process or system changes occur.


WHAT OUR SR. ESG REPORTING & CONTROLS ANALYSTS ENJOY MOST ABOUT THE ROLE

Actively and consistently supporting all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.Assisting in the development of the annual ESG report, including compiling and coordinating with internal subject matter experts, managing report narrative updates, reviewing ESG data accuracy and assessing feedback on report layout/design.Performing evaluation of ESG rating agency results and identifying tactical ESG report updates.Facilitating and driving consistency of internal ESG process and controls across the organization.Acting as a business partner to management by providing guidance on internal ESG controls and managing risk.Acting as a liaison in supporting internal and external audits of ESG reporting and internal controls.Participating in ESG project planning and implementation meetings to ensure proper controls are instituted in any system enhancements or major process changes.Reviewing new or changed regulations, policies, procedures, and guidance to identify controls and assess potential impact on the internal ESG control environment.Seeking continuous process improvements, promoting standardization of processes and procedures, and ensuring effective internal ESG controls are in place to mitigate the company’s reporting risks.Performing other duties as required.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldPublic accounting, consulting or internal controls experience – 5+Experience using online content management and collaboration tools (i.e., SharePoint)Ability to read, write, speak and understand EnglishAbility to analyze and interpret dataAbility to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward mannerAbility to communicate with all levels of management and company personnelAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressureAbility to manage multiple projects at one timeProficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook)Knowledge of accounting theory and practices, including SEC reporting rules and regulations and financial statement requirementsKnowledge of cable television products and servicesGeneral understanding of the COSO framework, risk assessment, control analysis and audit methodologies including internal control concepts

Preferred Qualifications

Public accounting, consulting, or internal controls experience- 3-5

Preferred Education

CPA and/or Master Degree
