Key Responsibilities: + Menu Innovation: Craft creative, on-trend menus that highlight seasonal ingredients, global flavors, and dietary inclusivity while maintaining impeccable presentation standards. + Culinary Leadership: Lead and inspire a talented culinary team to consistently deliver high-quality dishes, adhering to safety, equipment operation, and sanitation best practices. + Food Quality & Compliance: Ensure all meals exceed culinary standards, with a focus on taste, appearance, and adherence to federal, state, and local health regulations. + Operational Excellence: Oversee daily production, inventory management, and waste reduction practices, ensuring operational efficiency and sustainability. + Client & Guest Experience: Collaborate with university stakeholders to align dining services with campus objectives, fostering strong relationships and enhancing guest satisfaction. + Financial Stewardship: Manage food and labor budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-effective strategies to achieve financial goals. + Training & Development: Nurture the growth of culinary team members through hands-on training, fostering a culture of creativity and continuous improvement. + Event & Catering Excellence: Design bespoke menus for high-profile events, conferences, and special occasions, delivering memorable culinary experiences that reflect the university’s prestige. Preferred Qualifications + Associate’s degree or equivalent culinary experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred. + Five or more years of progressive kitchen or culinary management experience, ideally in high-volume or upscale foodservice environments. + Proven expertise in menu planning, inventory control, and financial forecasting. + Certified in ServSafe® food safety practices. + Passion for culinary innovation and commitment to delivering excellence in every dish.
