Job Summary
The Senior Finance Analyst, Plant FP&A will support both the Willard and Ashland manufacturing facilities, and reports to the Senior Manager, Plant Controller of the Willard, and Ashland Sites. This position is responsible for providing financial support to the Manufacturing facility to enhance profitability through detailed understanding and review of plant costs leveraging finance tools and processes to drive clarity of results to influence operations leadership. This individual will create and sustain a strong controls environment with focus on accurately representing plant costs, assets, and liabilities; as well as develop a strong understanding of the plant’s performance and create opportunities for cost improvement.
Job Duties including, but not limited to
Responsible for the development and accuracy of standard costs starting with the bill of material and item costs, labor routings, labor rates, as well as overhead assignments.Responsible for the preparation, processing and accuracy of month end and year end journals, scorecards, and reports.Prepare and communicate daily and weekly KPI, labor and plant process reporting.Analyze and model changes in product design, raw materials, overhead, and manufacturing methods for effects on production costs.Evaluate and report daily, weekly, and monthly manufacturing efficiency variances to assist Managers to create corrective action assignments. Ensures items are correctly classified and all reporting is prepared in accordance with GAAPAssists with estimating, tracking, and reporting costs associated with new product development and contract manufacturing partners.Utilize FP&A tools and processes to provide analysis and insight on plant profitability with regards to production SKU mix, cost savings opportunities, and process improvements.Assists in developing, communicating, and maintaining cost accounting methods and procedures.Support plant/corporate Enabler (cost savings) programs toward driving YoY productivity improvements.Reviews control procedures over accounting and financial activities. Maintains an adequate system of internal controls, and ensures that general ledger accounts, fixed assets and inventory are correct and in compliance with GAAP and SOX.Supports the Senior Manager-Plant Controller, Division Finance Director and Plant Leadership Team.May perform other duties as assigned.Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Understanding of process flows and standard cost accounting.Comprehensive understanding of financial analysis, including strong analytical and critical thinking skills.Collaborative people skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organization.Results-oriented focus and approach.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word and Pivot Tables).Advanced Excel skills including the use of pivot tables and lookup functions.Power BI creation and interpretation preferred.Ability to drive process improvement.Strong organizational and business process skills with attention to detail.Ability to prioritize and work independently on a variety of assignments with minimal supervision.Ability to accurately determine and meet deadlines.SAP experience preferred.Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance2-5 years of direct plant manufacturing experience preferred; however, open to consideration of relevant experienceCPA, CMA or MBA preferredWorking Conditions
Normal office environment with travel between Willard and Ashland plant locations required. All other travel 0 – 5%. May require overtime and some weekend work, as necessary.
Compensation and Benefits:
The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$72,900-$117,300
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
