What you’ll be working on: Supports Savers’ vision by providing timely, accurate analysis to enable sound business decisions and to maximize financial performance. Includes supporting the annual budgets, period financial analysis, forecast updates, price and selection analytics, labor and operating expense control and ad-hoc financial analysis. The Senior Financial Analyst reports to the Finance Manager.Essential Job Functions:Analyze areas of financial performance and recommend best practices at the product, store, and market level.
Act as subject matter expert on P&L, identifying variances and effectively utilizing key metrics to share insights.
Leverage data to uncover actionable insights to provide support to Field Leadership
Evaluate production strategies including pricing, assortment, and volume to maximize gross profit
Develop and maintain routine and ad hoc financial and operating reporting
Contribute to aspects of the annual budgeting and quarterly forecast processes for retail operations
Engage with and build complex financial modeling to support ad hoc requests
Deliver informative, well-organized presentations to leadership
Communicate analysis effectively with key stakeholders (field operations, corporate department leadership)
What you have:Must be intellectually curious and apply learnings and knowledge
Ability to connect complex operational metrics to financial results
Experience with financial statements
Ability to interact and influence Retail Operations and Finance management
Ability to identify opportunities and recommend solutions
Working knowledge of accounting practices
Good knowledge of Microsoft office products, including strong Excel skills
Demonstrated planning and organization skills
Ability to communicate well orally and in writing
Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task with minimal supervision
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information
Ability to work within Savers culture
Minimum Required Education, Training and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field, or equivalent knowledge and work experience.
3+ years’ experience in Finance or a combination of education and experience that yields the required Finance knowledge, skills & abilities
Prefer retail or manufacturing experience
