Reporting to the FP&A Manager of IT Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for seasonal budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and in-season expense management for the IT function. This associate will use functional expertise to provide operational leaders insights and identify risks/opportunities to their business. The position is expected to perform ad hoc analysis, support the development of presentation materials for executive leadership, and continuously find opportunities for operational improvements.
Responsibilities Perform business, financial, and operations analysis to support senior management decision-making. Partner with cross-functional finance teams, communicate accurate financial projections and provide the vital level of detail to explain variance analysis. Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to facilitate strategic and tactical decision making across various departments. Complete monthly reporting process and raise any known forecast risk and ops to cross functional partners. Works with operating partners to manage in-season expense spending to ensure compliance with budgeted targets. Adhere to deadlines within the internal projections cadence (end of month process, mid-month Risk/Opportunity updates). Support internal allocation billing for total IT consumption. Analyze trends and other business initiatives. Find opportunities for continuous improvement in functional work, reporting and standard operating procedures. Interface with CFO and other senior management. Qualifications Must be a problem solver and be able to function in a high volume, agile environment that serves many high-profile internal partners. Mine for areas of opportunity to streamline processes to enable continued productivity increases. Handle multiple work streams concurrently while effectively prioritizing them. Comfortably present business results, analysis, and recommendations to cross-functional partners and senior leaders. Proven ability to think analytically and creatively while maintaining financial controls. Ability to communicate in an effective and concise manner with leaders to influence business decisions through fact-based analyses. Excellent oral and written presentation skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to lead multiple, competing priorities. Highly motivated and demonstrates independent initiative in performance against objectives. Exhibits leadership proficiencies and professional maturity in dealing with peers, partners, and senior leaders. Ability to distill, articulate and model complex business questions/matters. Conducts all work in a confidential, ethical, and professional manner. Ability and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed. Education Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance or Accounting MBA with focus in Finance and/or Accounting, preferred. Financial accreditations and/or CPA, preferred.
