How you will make an impact:

The Clinical Next-Generation Sequencing Division (CSD) is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to serve as a key member of the CSD Commercial Finance team. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, this role will partner with finance and commercial team members to provide data-driven insights. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, possess strong leadership and analytical skills, and will have the ability to function in a matrixed environment while interacting with all levels of the organization. The work of this team is complex with high-visibility and impact to our diverse customers, providing you an opportunity to gain valuable global experiences and professional growth.

What you will do:Support bookings and revenue analysis for the global commercial team; act as liaison between regional and global financeActively participate during monthly and quarterly reporting; provide insight and analysisCoordinate and execute Annual Operating Plan and monthly forecastsDrive OEM global forecast process; collaborate with regional and business leadership to share insights and drive improved outcomesServe as finance liaison to Commercial Channels Group; responsible for AOP/forecast development and analysisPartner with Product Management, Strategic Accounts leader, and Marketing Analytics team to develop automated revenue reporting and improved forecasting capabilitiesMonitor and communicate progress toward achievement of financial objectives with CSD Finance Team; identify trends driving positive and negative variances to PlanSupport Ad-hoc internal, Group, and Corporate requests as needed

How you will get here:EducationAn undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting is required.  CPA/MBA preferred. 

Experience5+ years of relevant working experiencePrior experience in a large global company and highly matrixed organization and track record of establishing credibility with business partners

Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesStrong financial acuity, including familiarity with concepts of forecasting, budgeting and variance analysisHighly analytical and possess a strong business senseOrganized multitasker: you prioritize your workload, in a fast-paced, high-growth environment,Strong team building skills working with a diverse group of people, even if geographically dispersedUnderstanding of Excel (i.e., financial models and analysis), IBM Cognos or EDW equivalent, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and Hyperion preferredSelf-motivated, higher level of flexibility and strong work ethic with the goal to get the job doneExhibit leadership, initiative, and the Thermo Fisher Scientific 4-I values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement.

Travel requirements Less than 10% domestic/international travel required

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $103,100.00–$154,700.00.
