Sr Financial Analyst - Exempt
Description We are offering a unique opportunity for a Sr Financial Analyst in Northridge, California. This role is within the financial industry and involves working in a dynamic workplace environment. The position is a contract to hire employment opportunity and provides the opportunity to handle financial modeling, research trends, and work closely with various stakeholders. Responsibilities: • Conduct financial modeling and economic research to understand trends • Compare rates of return, depreciation, working capital, cash flow, investments, and cost against budget • Perform variance analysis, forecasting, financial planning, and expense comparisons by analyzing profit and loss statements and/or income statements • Prepare detailed financial reports and provide recommendations to management • Develop, maintain, and establish operational specifications for financial information systems considering factors such as information flow, volume, and ad hoc reporting and analysis • Contribute to business development activities and monitor business performance by unit, division, or group • Implement process improvements in financial systems and procedures • Collaborate with senior internal and external customers and vendors to exchange information and influence decision making • Provide guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within the department • Manage projects requiring delegation of work and review of others' work products. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in communication, both written and verbal. • Proven experience with reporting, including financial reporting and forecasting. • Previous experience delivering training on financial procedures and policies. • Strong research skills, particularly in relation to budget processes and financial regulations. • Ability to review, design, and implement financial processes and policies. • Experience with project management, including supervising and collaborating with various stakeholders. • Familiarity with time management software 'About Time'. • Strong leadership skills, with a track record of managing teams. • Proficiency with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems. • Experience liaising with vendors and managing vendor relationships. • Ability to perform ad hoc financial analysis. • Understanding of closing processes in financial operations. • Experience with capital management and process improvement. • Proven business development skills. • Ability to collaborate effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
