Exciting Opportunity within\nthe Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) organization!

The\nCNS organization designs, builds, and maintains some of the worlds most valued\nsafety systems within the Aerospace industry. The product line spans from Radar, Ground Proximity Warning Systems, Instrumented Landing Systems,\nCommunication, Datalink and Navigation Radios, RF, Transponders, Traffic Collision\nAvoidance Systems and Radar Altimeters.

As a Sr Advanced Hardware Engineer, within\nthe Traffic and Surveillance Avionics product group in the (CN&S) Communication, Navigation\nand Surveillance COE, you will play a critical role in delivering high quality\nproducts for commercial Avionics, TCAS (Traffic Collision Avoidance Systems), Transponder and Integrated Surveillance Systems. This role will collaborate with Design and production teams in Olathe, KS and Phoenix, AZ responsible for supporting Design, Development, electronic test, and advanced manufacturing engineering of cutting-edge avionics technologies.

Key ResponsibilitiesThis position will fulfill a Design Engineering role, supporting both the Olathe production site on hardware design improvements and new Hardware Designs for Traffic and Surveillance Avionics products with Design teams Lead Hardware Design efforts, while supporting manufacturing on RCCAs to improved factory first pass yields.Support Design efforts on the development of new products Guide the development process and create artifacts that meet FAA/EASA requirements.Stay updated with the latest advancements in hardware engineering and apply them to product designsSupport Honeywell Leadership and Honeywell customer meetingsU.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

YOU MUST HAVEBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field5+ years of experience in hardware development, electrical or system level engineering or hardware systems experienceWE VALUEUnderstanding of a variety of hardware engineering standards and specificationsStrong knowledge of hardware design principles and methodologiesStrong knowledge of product and\n process technologies or broad knowledge of multiple product and process\n technologiesAerospace Industry experience or related is of value (knowledge of TCAS, Transponder, RF, Integrated Surveillance Systems, GPS, Avionics or related products plus)Experience with oversight of\n hardware Qualification testingExperience with resolving production related issuesAbility to communicate project\n status and technical concepts with Management and CustomersAbility to consistently\n demonstrate business impact and continuous drive for improvementLead factory interface and\n product introductionAdditional InformationJOB ID: req458436Category: EngineeringLocation: 23500 W 105th St,Olathe,Kansas,66061,United StatesExemptEngineering (GLOBAL)
