HR Plant Administrator 2 - Salary

Monday-Friday

Pay Range - $54,300 - $84,900 Annually

This highly visible position located at our Victorville, CA Facility.

What you’ll do:

This position provides administrative support to the Human Resources function as well as administrative support for the site manager and other departments as needed.  Duties include general clerical and project-related work.  Weekly Payroll review and submission.  Provide back up support to other administrative positions as well. 

Essential Functions:

Responsible at all times for promoting safety culture and awareness.  Support all plant safety policies and procedures at all times.Provide on-going monitoring, review and processing of biweekly and semi-monthly timekeeping and payroll processes for plant to ensure accuracy and compliance.  Process pertinent employment and personnel change forms, distribution of payroll checks and assist with issue resolution.Review weekly payroll records and timecards.  Maintain Payroll system integrity adding and removing employees as required.  Review timecards for accuracy.Maintain accuracy and integrity of all HRIS systems, including employee information, changes, etc..Maintain confidential employee records and personnel files within Company document retention policies.Maintain attendance and time off records.  Assist with monitoring plant attendance, time off and disciplinary action.  Manage tools used to track details ie attendance tracker. FMLA trackerAct as lead for administrative duties including open enrollment, FMLA, STD, employee changes, workers compensation, Safety and environmental activities etc.   Proactively plan and execute needed activities.Administer staffing functions from posting through selection and onboarding activities.Coordinate plant special events including picnics, parties, luncheons, etc. within budgetary constraints.  Lead Plant activities committee and ensure active participationMaintain plant communications vehicles including bulletin boards, monitors, etc.  Actively seek to improve communications within the organization.Maintain all critical Administration functions as needed.Setup and coordinate meetings, conferences and events as requestedFile and maintain log of all executed contracts for the site and notify renewal follow upsActively promote and support company programs and policiesPurchase, track, and distribute office supplies and monitor reorder levelsRespond to staff requests for administrative support where neededAssist with miscellaneous administrative tasks and perform other duties as assignProvide back up support for other designated positions as identified.Maintain positive communications with workforce and act as communication link between

What you’ll need:

High School diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree or higher preferred.Minimum 5 years previous human resources or related experience in a large manufacturing / distribution environment preferred.Excellent interpersonal and skills – ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organizationExcellent communications skills – ability to communicate clearly and concisely in multiple media – verbal, written, etc.Knowledge of fundamental HR and Payroll concepts including basic laws and regulationsExcellent organizational/time management skills.Strong degree of accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to prioritize work assignments in a fast-paced work environmentStrong computer skills (MS Office Suite, Windows-based applications).HRIS, ADP or other payroll processing software preferred.Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality at all times and in all situations.
