As a Sr HSE Specialist here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the organization's health, safety, and environmental engineering efforts. You will ensure the highest standards of health and safety for employees, compliance with environmental regulations, and the implementation of best practices in engineering-related safety.
\nYou’ll work out of our Mississauga, ON location on an on-site work schedule.
\nThis position is responsible for supporting an effective HSE management system that will ensure ongoing compliance with Honeywell's HSE standards and regulatory requirements, while improving site HSE culture. The HSE Specialist will actively collaborate with internal business partners to provide HSE guidance, technical support, and coordinate activities and processes across the site.

YOU MUST HAVE
\n\nMinimum 6 years of HSE experience. \nPost secondary education in Occupational Safety and Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or other related field is required.\n\n\n

WE VALUE
\n\nRecognized certification in safety, health, or environmental field. \nWorking knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Management Systems.\nExperience with auditing ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Management Systems (internal auditor training certificate).\nExperience with Radiation Safety (Certified - RSO).\nTraining and experience in health, safety, and/or environmental auditing.\nHave thorough understanding, and experience with OHSA and EPA regulatory requirements.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nDemonstrated computer skills, including but not limited to MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\nProven ability to work on teams, both as team member and as team leader.\nAbility to lead, motivate and influence others to achieve HSE objectives, including excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. \nHighly motivated, energetic, detail oriented, self-directed individual with good analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\n\n
