Overview
Pep Boys is seeking a versatile, Senior IT Infrastructure professional who will bring proven skills in a traditional System Administration role as well as proficiency in delivering Infrastructure services through cloud technologies.
Primary Duties
Responsible for providing traditional systems administrative support for Operating Systems, User and Security functions as well as Infrastructure System Services monitoring and daily support. Support Enterprise Core Services (AD/DNS/Networking, etc.) as well as integrations to 3rd party services relating to SSO & Authentication, Domain Services, log aggregation and other management platforms. Provide consultative and hands-on support to other team members for End User & Enterprise Applications Establish relationships and lead in Vendor Partner Engagements relating to Infrastructure and Technology Lead troubleshooting and cross platform support efforts to diagnose and resolve technical issues, ensuring the stability and reliability of enterprise and cloud applications. Lead on infrastructure and technology delivery initiatives, advising to ensure they follow best practices for security, scalability, cost, and overall performance Cloud Services: Leverage and support AWS services, including Lambda, SQS/SNS, RDS, ECS Fargate (understanding of Containers), EventBridge, and Code pipelines to support our cloud-based applications. DevOps and Infrastructure: Participate within cross-functional teams to provide direction on infrastructure services and technologies that ensure smooth deployment and monitoring of applications. SDLC/Code Control and CI/CD: Consult on the software development lifecycle and best practices, contribute to strategies around code repository efficiencies using git/GitHub. Assist in implementing new CI/CD pipelines and manage existing pipelines using AWS code pipelines.Education and Experience
Minimum +5 years of enterprise level engineering experience, including Cloud Infrastructure and Services Senior level proficiency in traditional Compute platforms in an enterprise environment (Windows & Linux) Experience implementing and maintaining cloud-based systems and services with Amazon Web Services.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Scripting language experience (Windows PowerShell. , Node.js, etc.) Infrastructure knowledge of Relational Database such as MySQL, PostgresSQL and Oracle Working knowledge of software-defined lifecycle, products, and techniques (ie. CI/CD, Github, Jenkins, etc) Amazon DevOps Engineer Certifications (AWS Cloud Architect, DevOps Engineer, or equivalent)Physical Demands/Work Environment
