SummaryPosted: Jan 30, 2025Weekly Hours: 40 Role Number:200582965Product Operations Test Engineering team is a passionate, highly skilled, hard-working group of engineers from a diverse set of backgrounds, covering all aspects of inspection and test equipment development, prototyping, modeling and simulation Our mission is to optimize Apple production test lines in terms of productivity, automation, performance, and overall cost-effectiveness, by introducing new concepts for inspection and test equipment and methods, production test line architecture, etc. We are seeking a senior Program manager and integrator to join the team, work closely with different teams (internal and external) to drive development of top-on-the line test equipment for Apple products, manage their integration and turn them into top of the line production equipment.DescriptionDescriptionIn this highly impactful role, you will use your mechanical design engineering skills to bring our Magic products to life. This looks like: -Collaborating with industrial designers, hardware, software, product integrity, and technology teams to define the vision of a product. -Exploring different possible equipment concepts, and come out with the best design for cost-effective reliable high-performing tools. -Cooperating with other engineering teams at Apple to validate the concepts and ensure best-in-class design. -Partnering with external vendors and manage them to complete and optimize the design, manufacture the tools, and bring them into production lines. -Ensuring design meets requirements through the life of the product through stress and tolerance analysis, DFMEA, prototyping, testing, and failure analysis. -Traveling ~10% of the year to Asia to support equipment validation in engineering builds.Minimum QualificationsMinimum Qualifications12+ yrs experience with development of Equipment (for test, inspection, or process) and driving multiple teams and coordinating between them (managing X-functional tasks)Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineeringKey QualificationsKey QualificationsPreferred QualificationsPreferred QualificationsAbility to manage different activities simultaneouslyGreat communication skills: written and verbalExcellent program management and time management skillsExperience with managing vendorsEagerness to work in a dynamic environment and dependably complete individual workEducation & ExperienceEducation & ExperienceAdditional RequirementsAdditional RequirementsPay & BenefitsPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $207,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
