How will you make an impact?
Our interns are matched to projects based on their abilities and current business needs. All projects will have significant strategic and/or operating importance to the business to which they are assigned.
Projects may include the following responsibilities:
Partner with leadership to identify and address areas to improve efficiency and benchmark with industry best practices.Become a process owner; critically review specific processes with great attention to detail and proactively recommend opportunities for improvement.Learn continuous improvement methodologies (i.e., PPI, Six Sigma, and others) and help promote improvement initiatives.Align with all company safety, training, and quality regulations (i.e. ISO compliance, GLP/GMP requirements, etc.) and procedures.Execute experimental plans, analyze data, and contribute to technical reports and product summaries.Investigate new methods/technologies and maintain accurate lab notebook to support protection of intellectual property in accordance with relevant Thermo Fisher required standards.Work collaboratively with other functions including Business Development, Quality, Operations, Technical Services, and/or Marketing in the commercialization of new products.How will you get here?
Msc student pursuing an Engineering or Science degree (e.g. Electrical, Physics, Mathematics)Programming experience (e.g. Python, C++)0 years of work experience required; previous related internships preferred.Experience using computer applications such as MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.Native (or proficient) in English.Internship will fulfill a 12-month University placement within curriculum.Ability to be onsite – this is not a remote opportunity.Excellent interpersonal skills and strong professional presence.If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!
