This position supports the International and Global Trade Compliance department at Dole Packaged Foods and reports to Sr. Intl Transportation Manager.
The Sr International Logistics Specialist (ILS) will be responsible for providing support in the day-to-day tasks of Intl Transportation operations as well as assisting the team with all they need for proper analysis of supply chain costs. The candidate will ensure all data of the inbound international shipments is properly reflected in the ERP system with accurate financial and operational information to provide tracking and impact at the product line level.
Sr. ILS will support the Global Trade Compliance department at Dole Packaged Foods to facilitate and ensure compliance with export controls, laws and regulations, and other foreign government agency regulations covering exports primarily to Latin America and assists with importations into the United States. Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred.
This role is classified as “Locally Remote.” This is defined as being located within a reasonable commuting distance of the office in Westlake Village, CA and can come to the office for meetings with 24 hours advanced notice. During the initial onboarding period (approximately 4-6 weeks), the candidate will be expected to be in the office three days a week for training.
Responsibilities Process CTF and Validates international shipments into ERP system.Maintains ERP system in conjunction with Ocean Carriers actual shipment; tracking mother vessel, arrival port and ETA; updates ERP with all data points.Communicates with suppliers on opportunities for improvement on accuracy issues.Assist in managing the flow of all the import containers to Dole’s third-party warehouses.Responsible for ensuring that all third-party agents (steamship lines, drayman, warehouses, broker, etc.) have the proper information to execute receipt of goods to its destination.Assisting in troubleshooting all issues with the move, routing or delivery of all our cargo. Avoid demurrage, detention or any other additional cost whenever possible.Assist Regional Operation Managers to coordinate with draymen to keep accessorial costs to a minimum.SAP responsibilities for international transportation area: master data set up (rates, routes), tracking reporting, etc.Support Intl. Transportion team with researching SOAs and billing as well as creating accessorial entries into SAPAssisting Transportation Specialist with Drayage billing outside of AutopayInterface with buyers, brokers, distributors and Dole entities pertaining to shipment status and delivery schedules.Perform operational duties including booking ocean and air shipments from U.S. to Latin America or Caribbean with nominated ocean carriers or freight forwarders.Assist with inbound air freight shipments; assist in coordination of exports from Atwater facility and other U.S. warehouses to Latin America, Canada, Asia and EuropeFile and manage claim process with Ocean Carriers and Drayage companies.Other duties as assigned. Hiring Pay Scale: $50,000 to $70,000
