Sr IT Analyst - EDW
Driving Infinite Possibilities Within A Diversified, Global Organization

This position will report to the Director, Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), and will work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule. You will enable Digital Transformation programs at AERO through EDW and other Analytics projects. You will have a strong understanding and technical skill in EDW space. You will conduct extensive data analysis, facilitate conversations with business partners to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements and processes. You are familiar with agile development and will act as the voice of the business in stages of software development. You will support efficient and timely deployment of EDW in AERO. You will support process improvement for your functional area, and partner with business leaders to ensure delivery of comprehensive training and rapid adoption of EDW by end users. You will be documenting use cases and value proposition. You will be and working with data governance group to stand up EDW data catalogue and data dictionary.

This role will play a pivotal role in enhancing Honeywell business outcomes by supporting the effective and timely implementation of EDW for Aerospace Technologies. Your contributions to EDW strategy will be vital, acting as a key liaison between the business / function and IT leadership to ensure customer and security requirements are met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

\n\nConceptualize and develop technical requirements for data architecture, data model and integration to EDW.\nDetermining that the outcome of the integration has met the organizational needs.\nCreating and providing technical document that explains upcoming or existing integration to technical as well as non-technical individuals for adoption.\nElicits, analyzes, and prioritizes business level and functional project requirements.\nDocuments business requirements in the form of user stories with acceptance criteria.\nLiaison between Information Technology & Business by leading and facilitating cross functional business requirement gathering sessions. Identify system requirements and capabilities to support execution of business objectives.\nCollaborates with information technology and the business in identifying and developing short-term and long-term solutions.\nLeads working groups to ensure that objectives are strategically aligned and supporting internal customer needs.\nDefines and develops business process, and data flow diagrams to identify, supplement and clarify business requirements.\nConduct data validations, system integration testing and assist user acceptance testing.\nCommunicates regularly with key stakeholders, subject matter experts and the project team to ensure alignment, understand progress against deliverables, and identify issues and solutions as needed.\nDevelop domain knowledge for select functions / business and establish relationships of trust with the Functional Data and analytics teams.\nLead and participate in complex EDW and other related IT projects; Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze IT systems, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive innovative solutions.\nAssist leaders to manage change and drive EDW consumption.\nWork with source system owner to research and clarify data mappings, understand and test data security requirements, research and document system logic, drive use case and test case strategy.\nMentor and support junior IT analysts, fostering their growth and development.\nOther duties and priorities assigned from time to time (modern technology, tech debt reduction)\n\n

YOU MUST HAVE

\n\n6+ years of relevant work experience as IT analysis, or related roles.\nExperience in data profiling/analysis, integration, and EDW highly preferred.\nExperience with SQL to support query development and perform analyses.\nGood understanding of at least one coding language (e.g. Python, Scala, etc)\nDeep understanding of ETL method and tool, relational database, data model, schema design and development highly preferred.\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex, technical information in an understandable manner.\nAbility to logically troubleshoot issues, determine root causes, and present suggested solutions clearly and concisely.\nAbility to self-manage while consistently exercising good judgment and maturity.\nAbility to appropriately manage confidential departmental and corporate information.\nAbility to work in a high stress, fast paced environment managing multiple projects and personnel simultaneously.  Must possess ability to prioritize conflicting duties and maintain timeline integrity for projects and tasks.\nInitiative and strive for continuous improvement – Proven ability to participate in implementing innovative ideas, projects and business solutions.\nAbility to anticipate situations, tools needed, and potential obstacles through critical thinking and review of business performance.\nAbility to produce high quality work products, with consistency, accuracy and completeness.\nAbility to listen effectively, process information, ask appropriate questions for clarification and execute tasks accordingly.\nUS Citizenship, no dual citizenship, location in the contiguous 48 United States\n\n
