Requisition ID :17937 Employment Type :Full Time Job Category :Digital / IT Work Location :Davidson, NC (CSC) **Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. At this time, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for this position.** BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior IT Technical Lead works directly with the business and IT team to conceive and implement a solution to satisfy various business challenges and objectives. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: + Ability to lead and operate across multiple projects simultaneously and assume responsibility for the appropriate architecture and technical implementation of projects. + Leads implementation and integration of COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) applications into legacy systems. + Manages all technical aspects of large cross functional IT projects including build vs. buy analysis, software selection, infrastructure requirements and build out, development and system integrations. + Performs and leads product evaluations, proof of concepts, implementation and integration for new technologies including commercial off the shelf applications and legacy applications. + Works directly with the business and IT team to conceive and implement a solutions to satisfy business objectives. + Researches and maintains knowledge in emerging technologies and possible application to business challenges. Acts as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor and change agent. + Reviews and approves specifications for software solutions utilizing appropriate software engineering processes – either individually or in concert with project team + Provides design recommendations based on long-term IT organization strategy; drives new and innovative solutions. + Assists in troubleshooting and resolving system problems. + Active leadership role in IT technical project development meetings and provides input on possible solutions, pit falls, and issues regarding initiatives. + Provides technical vision when reviewing the design of new and innovative solutions while planning future strategy. + Works closely with the Enterprise Architecture group to set and adhere to technical standards to be used when implementing and designing solutions. + Leads and manages project resources both onsite and offshore to deliver complex business applications. + Accountable for providing accurate estimates to proposed solutions. + Meets scheduled milestones to ensure project/program objectives are met in a timely manner and has an in-depth knowledge of the principles, theories, practices and techniques for managing the activities related to planning, managing and implementing systems. + Works directly with the business and IT team to conceive and implement a solution to satisfy various business challenges and objectives. + Assists in the development of project plans including timelines and resource allocation and drives team to adhere to plan. Approaches projects in a cross-functional manner. + Coordinates systems analysis and applications development activities through direct and indirect staff. + Directs development teams in the areas of scheduling, technical direction, future planning and standard development practices. + Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and through the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC’s mission. + Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: + Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent experience is required. + Minimum of eight years related IT experience demonstrating growth in capabilities and responsibilities is required. + Experience implementing and integrating large complex COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) applications preferred. + AS/400 experience preferred. + ETL, ESB, EDI experience preferred. + Experience with any of the major databases such as Oracle, DB2 or SQL Server. + Endeca and other search engine experience required. Websphere experience preferred. + Minimum of eight years’ experience in the following areas: software design, leading solution designs, developing/leading Internet applications, Java/JavaScript, C++, RPGile, Free form, SQL, HTML, XML/JSON, XML, XSLT, Web Services & API Development. + Minimum of eight years as a technical architect or lead solution designer required. + Minimum of five years’ experience in the following areas: project management, leading development teams, MQ experience, microservices development, & cloud based computing with Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure, MQ, Salesforce.com & SAP experience preferred SKILLS: + Must possess a broad understanding of Web-based technologies and demonstrate a clear ability to exploit these technologies. + Strong working knowledge of software applications development methodology. + Ability to design and implement complex software solutions required. + Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent time management skills are required. + Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software is required. + Strong leadership, management skills, negotiation, and team building skills required. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: + A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel up to 10% of the time may be required. + This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (“ITAR”) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”). Compensation starting at $93590 - $147070 depending on experience. The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate’s relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity.
