Sr Java Developer
Position Description:

This role is based in Cary, NC, with a hybrid work model requiring three days a week in the client office (fully remote work is not an option).

Your future duties and responsibilities:

As a Sr Java Developer, you will:

Minimum 7-10 years of experience
Develop and maintain robust Java/J2EE applications, utilizing technologies such as JDBC, Java Server Pages, JMS, and concurrency.
Implement and manage Java libraries, including Quartz and Swing, particularly for TSAR.
Engage in web application development, deploying WAR/EAR files to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
Utilize Eclipse as your primary development environment to write, test, and debug code.
Leverage your solid SQL background and Oracle experience to manage and optimize database interactions.
Apply your web development skills, including CSS and jQuery, to create dynamic and responsive user interfaces.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Strong Java/J2EE including: JDBC, Java Server Pages, JMS, concurrency
• Java libraries such as Quartz, Swing (esp. for TSAR)
• Web-app development for Java (deploying WAR/EAR files)
• Eclipse as dev environment
• Solid SQL background, Oracle experience
• Solid web background: CSS, jQuery

Banking / Capital Markets is required

Nice to have Technical Skills:
• WebLogic, Sybase database
• JUnit experience
• Strong leadership skills

Required Level of Education:
• Bachelor s degree in computer science or Diploma in IT with equivalent IT experience

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skills level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate for this type of position of the current range of $78,400 - $154,300.
