Job responsibilities

Represents a product family of technical governance bodiesProvides feedback and proposes improvements to architecture governance practicesGuides evaluation of current technology and leads evaluation of new technologies using existing standards and frameworksRegularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendorsDevelops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersDrives decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processesServes as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focusActively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life CycleInfluences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologiesAdds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experienceHands-on practical experience delivering Domain-Driven Design, Microservices Architecture, Cloud Architecture Principles, Integration and Deployment Patterns (API and Event-driven)Advanced proficiency in Java and Python programming.Advanced knowledge of software architecture, applications, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with both technology and business stakeholders.Practical cloud native experienceAbility to evaluate current and emerging technologies to select or recommend the best solutions for the future state architectureAdds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respectPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsProficiency in using enterprise collaboration tools such as Jira and ConfluenceExperience in LLM tools
