As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Banking organization, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

Design, develop and support the algo execution platform and associated strategies Enhance, extend, and optimize existing strategies to improve performance and reduce latency Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others along with automated testing Provide second level support to the algo platform Develop scalable real-time processing solutions using agile methodologies Partner with stakeholders to capture requirements and deliver solutions

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience BS/BA/BEng degree or equivalent experience Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines Advanced knowledge of architecture and design across all systems Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages with focus on Java Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals Passionate about building an innovative culture Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Strong knowledge and experience in FIX, Market Data, Analytics, OMS, and equities trading in global markets are assets
