Sr Level FPGA Engineer
Job Title: Senior Level FPGA Engineer Job Description Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior FPGA Engineer to join our team. The primary function of this role will be as an FPGA designer on complex digital and mixed-signal systems. This includes architecture, FPGA design, hardware design, hardware bring-up of PCB designs incorporating FPGA devices, exploration of technology, system performance, and specification to design and test. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for defining system requirements and integration. Responsibilities + Design and develop FPGA solutions for complex digital and mixed-signal systems. + Perform hardware bring-up of PCB designs incorporating FPGA devices. + Explore and implement new technologies to enhance system performance. + Define system requirements and ensure successful integration. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and requirements. + Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. + Modify and update individual blocks to achieve the desired functionality of the FPGA. Essential Skills + Strong experience with multi-domain clock FPGA designs, timing constraints dealing with clock-domain-crossing (CDC), ADC signal processing, data buffering methods (e.g., ping pong buffering), and latency characterization. + Recent experience using VHDL for FPGA designs and System Verilog for verification. + Hands-on lab testing experience with lab equipment and scripting for automated testing. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Recent design experience with Intel Altera devices (Arria 10 preferred). + Working knowledge of Mathworks Simulink HDL coder targeting FPGAs. + Experience working with UVM verification environment as a designer writing sequences/test cases. + BS in Electrical Engineering from a four-year college or university; MS degree is a plus. + 10+ years of relevant hardware development experience. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
