Sr Licensed Social Worker

Under the direction of the Manager of Psych Care Management and Admissions, the Licensed Social Worker Sr will provide psychosocial assessments, discharge planning, coordinate aftercare services, provide individual/family/group psychotherapy, and coordinate all aspects of the court-ordered evaluation and treatment process. The Licensed Social Worker Sr will also fulfill a leadership role and provide supervisory functions for the department in the absence of the Manager.
Annual Salary Range: $71,032.00 - $104,769.60
Qualifications
Education:
Requires a master’s degree in social work.
Experience:
Requires a minimum of four (4) years of experience providing social work services in an inpatient behavioral health setting.
Prefer prior supervisory experience.
Pursuant to Arizona Administrative Code R9-10-306 CHAPTER 10 of the Dept. of Health Services, personnel must be at least 21 years of age, or at least 18 years of age and licensed or certified under A.R.S. Title 32 and providing services within the personnel member’s scope of practice.
Certification/Licensure:
Must be licensed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Ambulatory Care Management: Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or submit a completed Affidavit at the time of hire. Must complete fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of hire date. Must present actual card within ninety (90) days of applying for a fingerprint clearance card.
Within 30 days of hire, a BLS card must be obtained through the American Heart Association (AHA) training center.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English, including professional-level usage or grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Must know about chemical dependency and mental illness.
Must be a self-starter and able to work independently and effectively in a multidisciplinary team with adults, families, and children.
Requires excellent knowledge of community resources and the DSM IV.
Must have awareness and sensitivity to cultural diversity.
Time management, flexibility, and positive customer service orientation are necessary.
