The Position:

The Senior Logistics Operations Coordinator plays a key role within the Global Supply Chain function, focusing on enhancing customer operations and leading logistics projects. A major initiative for this role is overseeing the transition to a new transportation partner, requiring strong collaboration with clinics and hospitals to ensure a smooth change management process. This position demands a blend of operational efficiency, customer engagement, and project management, with an emphasis on empathy, problem-solving, and proactive communication to support healthcare providers throughout the transition

Key Responsibilities

Drive the transition from the current transportation partner to a new provider, ensuring minimal disruption for clinics, hospitals and patients. Engage directly with healthcare providers, understanding their workflows, addressing concerns, and offering hands-on support during the transition. Act as a trusted liaison between internal teams (sales, market access, marketing, customer service, and production) and external stakeholders to facilitate a seamless logistics experience. Provide white-glove support by hand-holding clinics and hospitals through changes, answering operational questions, and ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources. Optimize domestic and international specimen shipping processes to improve efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Analyze logistics data to identify trends, streamline workflows, and provide strategic recommendations for continuous improvement. Develop and maintain key operational reports, dashboards, and KPIs to track logistics performance and transition success. Train and onboard stakeholders on new logistics processes, ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Proactively identify and resolve logistical challenges, acting as a problem-solver and advocate for both internal teams and external customers. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics/Supply Chain Management or a relevant science discipline. 5+ years of experience in customer service, logistics or supply chain operations, preferably in biotechnology or life sciences. Strong customer-facing experience, with the ability to build relationships, show empathy, and communicate effectively with healthcare providers. Ability to manage change in a structured and supportive way, ensuring customer adoption and satisfaction. Strong project management skills, with experience leading operations and logistics-related initiatives. Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze trends, create reports, and drive operational efficiencies. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach. Knowledge of biotechnology logistics and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO) is preferred.

The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units. Veracyte is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.

Pay range$90,000—$99,000 USD
