Sr Maintenance Mechanic
Monday-Friday This will be an "off-shift" providing support to 2nd shift as needed **_Job Summary_** Senior-level maintenance technician assigned to the manufacturing support, will provide primary support for maintenance of manufacturing equipment and occasional secondary assistance/support for Facilities/Shop/Utilities/HVAC or production vehicles. cranes, etc. This role utilizes multi-craft skills including mechanical, welding, plumbing, pipe-fitting, troubleshooting, minor electrical, and other skills as needed. Training for manufacturing equipment will be on-the-job training provided by experienced manufacturing technicians. **_Responsibilities_** + Troubleshoot, debug, repair manufacturing equipment such as slashers, hoists, powered material handling equipment, knitters, or other manufacturing equipment. This will include common mechanical repairs such as bearings, shafts, pipe fittings, steam traps, small pumps. This may include basic visual troubleshooting of electrical equipment such as indicator lights, low-voltage sensors, etc. + Occasionally assist the Facilities Technicians, when needed, to maintain, troubleshoot, & repair HVAC or fire protection systems (wet, dry, powdered, & special agent), boilers, chilled water systems & support equipment, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, electric hoists, and motor control systems. + Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, high-jacker, automobiles, etc. when necessary to accomplish stated job functions. + Perform planned maintenance and emergency maintenance of assigned equipment, properly and on time. Document maintenance activities on the computerized maintenance system (Maximo). Prepare standards for Preventive Maintenance, Modifications, and prepares proper documentation for validations. + Perform daily, weekly, & monthly inspections as assigned in MAXIMO. + Organize time to follow-up and follow thru with maintenance items to ensure the proper execution of the P.M. program. + Maintain a clean and safe work environment within current plant standards. + Perform any necessary plumbing, machinery, welding or carpentry work as assigned. Perform other duties as required or directed with or without accommodation. + Diagnose equipment/process issues, determine root cause, and implement solutions. Perform in depth troubleshooting of equipment.
