BE PART OF THE CONNECTION

As a Transactional Accounting Senior Manager, you are responsible for overseeing all daily activities within the assigned accounts payable functions. Your role includes mentoring and motivating the team and actively participating in month-end processes and payment authorizations. In this position, you provide support for hiring, training, and supervising Accounts Payable Managers and Supervisors.

WHAT OUR TRANSACTION ACCOUNTING SENIOR MANAGERS ENJOY MOST

Actively and consistently supporting all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experienceDirecting the timely processing of vendor invoices for the assigned area of the AP function while maintaining accuracy within the functionEffectively managing and evaluating the staff assigned to their groupIdentifying actions that need to occur and making recommendations to the leadership team on staffing (job assignments, hiring, terminations, and corrective action)Gathering and reporting on the department's processing metrics, including determining relevant statistical data to measureCompleting functional workloads timely as assigned (allocating resources daily in conjunction with the other AP Manager, creating user-defined codes, reconciling credit card payments, 1099 reporting)Acting as a dependable resource to vendors and employees. This includes problem resolution and training of in-house processorsSupporting and providing direction for both SAP and Ariba P2P applicationsMaintaining records and files in accordance with the established filing systemEnsuring compliance with SOX controls and maintaining documentation as assignedEstablishing internal controls and procedures to process the assets of the companyDetermining new controls or procedures that address the growth of the company via acquisitionsCompleting special projects and working with other team members as neededPerforming other duties as requested

Required Qualifications

Accounts Payable work experience - 5-7 Management experience - 7-10 Project management and process improvement experienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting or related fieldAbility to read, write, speak, and understand English Ability to analyze and interpret data Superior interpersonal skills Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in a clear and straight-forward mannerAbility to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure Ability to manage the work of large departments Ability to prioritize and organize effectively Ability to read, write, and to communicate with employees, customers, and suppliers (in person, on the phone, and by written communications) in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner Ability to supervise and motivate others Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge of basic accounting procedures Knowledge of SAP S/4; HANA and Ariba Demonstrated customer service skills
