Sr Manager, Corporate Paralegal

The Sr. Manager, Corporate Paralegal, is a collaborative and results-oriented individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills. This role requires working independently in a fast-paced and growth-oriented business environment. As a generalist, the Sr. Manager, Corporate Paralegal supports all areas of the business, focusing on litigation, real estate, contracts, and corporate governance. The ideal candidate must adapt to changing priorities and business needs, proactively identifying areas for improvement and taking action to address them.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation, review, and execution of commercial agreements, including Master Service Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Statements of Work, Consulting Agreements, and Order Forms.  Review, draft, and manage real estate documents such as lease amendments, estoppels, Subordination, Non-Disturbance, and Attornment Agreements (SNDA), and title reviews.Under the supervision of an attorney, draft, review, analyze, and organize documents related to litigation and transactional matters.Under the supervision of an attorney, draft and file detailed and accurate EEOC charges and responses, ensuring all relevant facts and legal arguments are clearly presented, and manage the electronic and physical filing to comply with procedural requirements and deadlines.Analyze records, inquiries, and disciplinary files, making recommendations to the attorney regarding the disposition of files.Assist with the intake and distribution of Service of Process, responses to subpoenas, e-discovery, and legal holds.Collaborate with internal teams to resolve questions related to contract or lease terms and obligations.Monitor ongoing activities, status updates, and pending deadlines in litigation and transactional matters.Build, run, and manage regular reports related to real estate, contracts, litigation and non-litigation matters.Assist with the management of legal department inboxes and ensure timely responses to inquiries.  Manage legal invoices and support the management of outside counsel by assisting with engagement agreements, analyzing outside counsel billing practices against in-house requirements, and maintaining outside counsel billing policies.Ensure contracts, leases, and documents are accurately maintained and filed in the contract and document management systems.Review, track, and monitor legislation that impacts the company’s products and processes. Provide timely analysis and summaries of new legislation/regulations affecting the business.Conduct research projects.Assist with other department activities and special projects as needed, performing additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications (Education & Experience)

Minimum 7 years of experience as an Corporate Paralegal in an in-house legal department is required.Paralegal certificate or equivalent education preferredProject Management experience and trainingStrong critical thinking skills with a methodological approach to problem solving.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentSelf-motivated with ability to prioritize multiple activities simultaneously.Excellent communication skills – both written and verbalExceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.Proficiency with legal research tools, contract management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
