How You Will Make an Impact:

The Sample Prep Business Unit drives $550M+ yearly revenue through a diverse product portfolio, operating in a broad breadth of market segments. We are seeking a dynamic Sr. Manager, FP&A to drive both our Core Research and Workflow Automation Technologies businesses through strategic business partnership. Together these segments make up 55% of our total portfolio, through offering manual and semi to fully automated extraction solutions to scale up sample preparation with instruments, plastics, and magnetic beads-based reagents. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance in Sample Prep will allow for tremendous visibility and growth potential. This role will be the primary business partner support to two of our biggest strategic growth plays within Sample Prep. As the key partner to the business, you will help the team drive all aspects of the P&L and Balance Sheet, touching revenue, margin, operating expenses, net income, capital spend and support NPIs and OEM-In projects. You will lead one financial analyst, with a heavy emphasis on mentoring to drive business support while guiding towards achievement of career aspirations. Key Responsibilities:

Partner directly with the General Manager, Product Managers, Sales Leaders, Operations and Finance to own the business through key analyses, executively synthesized communication, key performance indicator tracking and variance reportingCultivate a positive and effective working atmosphere for your team and businessProvide key insights into revenue trends through price/volume and customer analyticsImmerse yourself in the financials and strategies of multiple NPIs, including long term fully automated instruments and OEM-In strategic market playsDefine critical metrics to measure success and drive initiatives to meet goalsPartner with Sample Prep FP&A lead to develop monthly forecastsOwn Operating and Capital Expense budgets and managementPartner with the business to drive the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Strategic 5-Year Plan (STRAP)Develop models that help with decision-making based on strategic thought leadershipContinuously drive operational improvements (PPI) in our internal processesUse systems/tools to automate reporting where applicable

Keys to Success:

Degree in Finance, Accounting or other business-related subject areas (MBA, CFA a plus)7+ years of progressive finance experienceFull comprehension of financials and how to use them to analyze a businessSelf-reliant, problem solver with a natural bias towards continuous improvementDetail oriented and organizedAbility to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and meet timelinesOutstanding Excel, PowerBI and PowerPoint skillsExperience with Hyperion Planning, Smartview or similar systemsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsConsistent track record of working with a diverse group of individualsAbility to effectively communicate and collaborate with senior managementDemonstrated experience in a sophisticated, multinational, heavily matrixed organizationEmbraces challenges in a continuously evolving environment

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $130,000.00–$210,000.00.
