Description
Cox Automotive is seeking a Sr. Manager – Product and Technology Finance with strong experience in budget/forecasting activities, long-range planning, financial support and ad hoc analysis. This position provides client support for 3 Technology leaders and manages ~$240MM+ of annual spend. Candidates must have either a solid understanding of financial management concepts and business performance evaluation or have a strong IT background with knowledge of underlying business management. Effective communication of analysis through executive-level presentations is essential, as are interpersonal skills, the ability to influence, and the proven ability to effectively lead a functional team. This role will report to the Sr. Director of Product and Technology Finance.
Responsibilities
Direct the coordination and execution of the Enterprise IT Operations, Enterprise Platforms, and Solution Delivery annual operating budget, month end close, and long-range plan by working closely with matrixed partners throughout Technology, Accounting and Finance.
Develop and present standard monthly management reporting packages to include financial performance results, resource planning, and key metric drivers.
Serve as key thought leader by overseeing or partnering across the organization on various analyses, business cases and special projects that drive continued growth and efficiency and enable leadership to make informed strategic business decisions.
Analyze the business to identify risks & opportunities and provide recommendations to mitigate.
Lead, coach, and develop the Sr. Financial Analyst to be successful in their role by motivating and managing performance through regular one-on-one reviews, career discussions, and training.
Recommend and implement continuous process improvement and automation of manual processes.
Create and maintain an environment of personal accountability that encourages ownership of issues and excellence in customer service.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 8 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 6 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 3 years’ experience in a related field; or 12 years’ experience in a related field
experience in financial management, analytical, strategic and problem-solving experience required with at least 3+ years of experience in a management/leadership role.
3+ years of experience working within an analytical financial environment that includes financial strategy, management consulting, business performance management and/or corporate strategy. Demonstrated analytical (industry, market, and business) and quantitative skills.
Ability to develop structured and fact-based strategy reports and business cases (e.g. narrative business plans and presentations) that include actionable conclusions, scenarios, and recommendations.
Solid knowledge of financial modeling, statistical methods and benchmarking techniques with the ability to synthesize complex information, anticipate and effectively solve multifaceted problems.
Proven leadership and teaming capabilities with the ability to operate independently, affect change across functions, and have a track record of delivered results.
Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Ability to build strong trusted working relationships with internal and external business customers at all levels to include executive level management.
Proven ability to work effectively within complex matrixed decision making and org structures.
Advanced MS Excel skills required, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, include automation wherever possible, and design and formatting for executive presentations.
Experience with Oracle, OneStream, PowerBI, or similar software is preferred.

Strong desire to understand the automotive marketplace and continually learn.
