Sr Manager, IT

The Senior Manager, IT is responsible for assuring a stable technical processing environment is available to Operations to run production for the 24X7 production environment for remittance processing sites.  

 

Management duties associated with the Operations Support team in providing technical support for multi-site, 24X7 remittance operations. Responsibilities include technology in support of image capture, data completion, file creation and transmission.  Consults on the most difficult support issues with the team and with other technical resources. 

Consulting business and operations teams on Operations applications, computing environment and networking. 

Leads technical integration, hardware and software refresh projects.  Consults on network changes.  Trains and mentors operations support staff, other support and Operations functions on technology solutions.  Supports client RFPs for questions on technology architecture.   Provides technical expertise in supporting client relations for pre and post-sales requests. Writes and implements programs and scripts to perform production and maintenance tasks. 

Triages production issues of the most difficult nature or assists Production Support Admins or Production Engineers on triage.  

Ensures continuity and currency of institutional knowledge required to operate and maintain the technical infrastructure of remittance processing operations. 

 

Basic Qualifications (BQs) 

Education and Experience: Bachelors in MIS, Engineering or Computer Science and 5 years experience or HS/GED and 9 years of systems and business experience. 

Deep knowledge of industry trends and remittance products and services, business processes and applications. Expert-level institutional knowledge of remittance processing operations.Deep knowledge of transaction processing systems and formats and operational processing. Expert knowledge and understanding of distributed systems, networks.Basic knowledge in technical writing and/or business documentation.

 

Preferred Qualifications (PQs) 

Experience: 3 years of management experience. Demonstrated management skills for geographically dispersed team.  

Strong written and verbal communication skills.  

Additional Basic Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or older
