**Position Summary:**
As a Senior Manager of Lean Manufacturing, you are accountable for leading the development and implementation of lean strategy and culture for NuVasive Manufacturing to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. Create a lean training program for the entire organization to further the growth of our people. Coach various leaders of multi-functional areas in lean practices. Partner to initiate strategic process improvement programs with significant change impact across the facility, using a lean manufacturing technique.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Develops long-term roadmap for lean at NuVasive Manufacturing
+ Creates training programs for introducing and creating a baseline understanding of lean practices
+ Responsible for effectively leading, mentoring, and developing lean team in the application of tools and processes including Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Heijunka, 5S, and 3P
+ Promotes innovation in methods techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
+ Leads multiple value stream program efforts from beginning to adoption
+ Facilitates creation and implementation of our Daily Management System
+ Facilitates week-long action workouts to drive process improvement while implementing model lines
+ Performs other duties as assigned
+ Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies
+ Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
+ Represents the company in a professional manner and upholds the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

**Qualifications:**
+ Ability to perform effectively in environments with frequent workload changes and competing demands
+ Ability to establish, partner, and maintain cooperative working relationships with peers, Human Resources, and leadership
+ Basic understanding of MS Office software, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
+ Strong business, analytical, organizational, project management, and planning skills
+ Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
+ Perform duties in compliance with applicable FDA and state regulations as well as standards including, but not limited to, ISO 13485
+ Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years’ experience; or equivalent experience
+ Experience in Lean manufacturing (Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen leadership, TAKT Time Production management and implementation)
+ Preferred Six Sigma green belt certification
+ Preferred experience using Hoshin Kanri methodology and implementation
