Reports to the Director, Potash Finance. This position will be on-site at our Vanscoy facility.

 

What you will do:

 

Collaborate with stakeholders to develop short-term and long-term site financial plans. With our finance partners, including COE and FBS, provide insights into financial results to drive business improvement. Act as the Finance point of contact for the site General Manager. Lead long-term strategic planning for site expansions by working with site leadership to understand production step changes, capital requirements, and fixed and variable operating costs. Interpret and provide market intelligence data to site personnel for use in operational planning. Improve the quality and availability of data and business information, making key financial data readily available to leaders across the Potash Business Unit. Review costs, improve visibility and analysis of cost drivers, identify trends and implications of current costs on future costs, and provide this information to site personnel in a timely manner. Compute and validate capital project financial return calculations. Advise on capital allocations at site level. Responsible for the preparation of the annual operating budget and monthly operating forecasts. Identify and understand site and business unit strategies, tailoring analysis, reporting, and deliverables to support the strategies.

 

What you will bring:

 

Professional accounting or finance designation with ten or more years of experience. Commitment to safety and integrity. Demonstrated time management skills, and ability to engage and prioritize when involved with multiple initiatives and changing priorities. Ability to work independently or as part of a team with both technical and non-technical staff. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to also understand and review the big picture. Interest in and ability to learn and understand business and system processes. Passion for leadership, and proven supervisory experience an asset. Strong Microsoft Office skills, primarily Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in the mining industry is an asset.
