Sr Manager, Production Operations

This hands-on job is responsible for managing all facets within the operations. In this role they will lead and manage within a fast-paced reverse logistics and repair environment, focusing on safety, operational excellence, self-motivation, problem-solving, and teamwork.  This leader must be able to collaborate and work with other leaders across shifts, department and sites. Responsibilities include ensuring effective operation by working with the supervisors to complete customer priorities based on demand schedules, assigning tasks/projects as needed, coordinating the flow of work, oversee completion of work, monitor key performance metrics (KPI), managing labor efficiency across the area of responsibility, mentor/coach leaders and manage headcount.  Must possess the ability to multitask, pay attention to details, have a good understanding of manufacturing, quality, inventory, and warehousing processes. This role will leverage the use of Lean Principles and Six Sigma methodologies.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

Delivers and manages Customer Service Levels (SLAs) and On-Time Delivery (OTD) Develop and implement process improvements and coordinate new product introductions Collaborate with other leaders within the site to monitor inventory level and accuracy, materials, equipment, and the request for capital equipment as needed Work with senior management to establish department and company goals and rely on experience, judgment, and innovation to achieve them Meet production operational standards by implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer service level agreements, resolving problems, and identifying process improvements Coordinate all production activities from planning through shipping with departmental managers to insure the total repair / manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner Establish and monitor overall distribution, kitting & repair performance for production and quality standards Provide leadership and training to accomplish the operational goals and objectives Provide direction, development and leadership to assigned Production Supervisors on 3 shifts Hires, develops, evaluates, and (when necessary) disciplines and discharges subordinate personnel or makes authoritative recommendations in such matter Develops function-specific orientation and training programs for area personnel Establishes standards for effective job performance and evaluates subordinates according to such standards Delegates these responsibilities to supervisory personnel as appropriate Responsible for the development and maintenance of an effective organization for area(s) of responsibility, including: a) efficient work flow patterns; b) established performance standards; c) effective delineation of duties and responsibilities; d) suitable staffing levels; e) appropriate supervision; and f) systems for timely communication of pertinent information Responsible for the development, implementation, documentation, and monitoring of an ongoing quality assurance program for areas of responsibility by leveraging Lean and 6 Sigma principles Create and/or modify processes to allow for the processing and servicing of new accounts and products, as well as improving existing processes when practical and cost effective Participates in programs for safety, fire prevention and disaster recovery Ensures the development of specific plans for inclusion in these programs Serves as liaison with other organizational departments Establishes and maintains the working rapport necessary to develop cooperation and effectively integrate production services into the company’s overall business fulfillment system

What are the requirements needed for this position?

Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 8+ years in a supervisory/management role in a manufacturing environment Minimum of five years manufacturing experience

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

Five to ten years production management/production supervisory experience Lean manufacturing in a production environment Wireless repair/OEM manufacturing experience preferred Demonstrated knowledge of Wireless production/OEM manufacturing processes Familiar with basic electronics equipment Ability to work independently and in a team environment Ability to use a personal computer and data enter information Basic math skills and the ability to complete a basic hand written forms/documents Experience with WMS systems, Oracle preferred
Pay Range

$84,100.00 - $140,500.00

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience, and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
