Sr Manager, Restaurant Profitability Initiatives

Job Summary

The Senior Manager of Restaurant Profitability Initiatives is responsible for managing the programs and initiatives that drive the roadmap for franchisee profitability initiatives, including labor management systems and best practices. The role is responsible for analyzing the financial performance of restaurants and identifying best practices and areas opportunities for improvement. The Senior Manager will oversee day-to-day management of the franchisee P&L benchmarking tools, labor management tools, and delivery optimization programs. The Senior Manager will work closely with the operations, marketing, business insights, and finance teams to provide data-driven insights and recommendations for optimizing the profitability of each restaurant.  This role is in the Operations Department and reports to the Vice President of Operations Excellence and Innovation.

Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned)

Profit Tracking & Analysis

Manage Income Statement benchmarking program through daily, quarterly, semi-annual and annual activities, including:Collaborate with benchmarking tool software vendor on feature roadmapWork to get all franchisees onboarded to the benchmarking platform and regularly updating dataSME for Franchisees for system functionality, timely upload of P&Ls, and mapping of new P&L itemsPrepare reporting to support Franchise Business Partners in discussions with Franchisees to enhance business reviewsCo-develop reports to provide insights into key areas to address discussion points arising from Franchisees

Labor Management

Serve as owner and SME for Labor Scheduling SystemDrive continuous improvement and adoption of Labor Scheduling System for improved forecasting and improved labor rulesAnalyze data for insights on most efficient restaurants and translate into system wide best practicesDetermine coaching/training required on labor management and scheduling for inefficient restaurants

Additional Strategic Initiatives Responsibilities

Collaborate to drive Delivery as a Service (DaaS) (DoorDash Drive) performance and best practices across the systemCollaborate with the operations, marketing, and finance teams to align on the profitability goals and initiatives.Develop playbooks and roadmaps for franchise operations leaders to support improvement of Profit-Driving KPIs among franchisees
