The Sales Manager is responsible for managing account managers in a specific region. They are accountable for achieving sales and financial targets, ensuring effective sales coverage, and developing qualified account managers. They also maintain professional relationships with key customers and provide service consistent with company standards.
How You Will Contribute:Lead Lab Products representatives to deliver bookings, revenue, profitability, and market share growth objectives.Partner with appropriate colleagues to develop the commercial sales plan in assigned territory and developing/implementing tactics to accomplish growth targets.Work closely with Business Unit product management teams to ensure clear communication and understanding of marketing and new product plans. Represents customer needs in the creation of new products and solutions.Lead sales forecast for the district using Salesforce.com (SFDC) CRM platformWork with channel partners to drive bookings and revenueEmploy and adopt PPI as a means to improve the efficiency and effectivenessTalent management, recruitment/selection, coaching, mentoring, training, development, performance management of direct reportsEducationBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Life Sciences, STEM, or Business preferredExperience7+ years’ experience in sales, preferably within a major company in the life sciences industry, with 2+ years in sales management strongly preferredKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesRole model sales leader with ability to develop and motivate people at all levelsStrong analytical skills: the ability to draw conclusions and observations from market trends and unit analysis.Demonstrated ability to operate independently, with initiative and good business judgment.Ability to travel up to 50%.BenefitsThis position is also eligible to receive variable compensation on individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
