Northern Trust – Digital Shared Services teams provide diverse set of capabilities to enable Northern Trust Application teams and Business Partners in the areas of Application Architecture, Development Accelerators, Shared Services API for common digital functions and Collaboration capabilities.

WHO YOU ARE

Technical and People Leader experienced in architecture and design and development of modern cloud native applications. You are a thought leader, who is well versed with current technology trends.  You are a team player with can do attitude and open for new ideas and collaboration.

You have:

A College or University degree in Computer Science and/or relevant proven work experienceExpert level knowledge of software development processes and programming languages (Java, JavaScript), database management systems (DBMS), agile methodologies in delivering modern web applications or Microservices/REST API on Cloud platformsStrong knowledge of OWASP, application security and DevSecOps.Proficient in Modern Application Architecture and Agile delivery in one or more of the following areas

Java based micro service applications

Function applications

Event driven applications

Analytical/problem-solving skills, leadership/organizational skills along with ability to operate in dynamic environment.Strong understanding of nonfunctional requirements and SRE principlesAbility to develop strong relationships with stake holders and mentor team members

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a Manager, you will partner with Infrastructure teams, Application development teams and Vendors to lead a team of highly technical developers and Architects to create development accelerators for creating and aggregating single page applications for Web and Mobile platforms

Lead developers and architects in the areas of architecture, design and development of modern cloud native applications on Microsoft Azure. Enable Document Collaboration capabilities across the enterprise by working with various cross functional stake holders. Ensure that the solutions delivered are aligned with Enterprise Architecture standards and patterns along with meeting non-functional requirements. Implement and help identify measures to improve applications stability and availability along with reduction in technical debt. Provide and seek guidance and mentor Application developers in Digital Shared Services team and other teams. Ensure compliance with corporate standards related to Application Development (e.g. coding, security, interface management) and/or Production Service delivery (e.g. ITSM incident and problem management). Confirms that the artefacts/deliverables related to solution development, are produced as required by Northern Trust’s project lifecycle(s) and/or service management standards.
