WHEN & WHERE YOU’LL WORK:
This role will be a mix of in-office work at our local office and remote work. This position is expected to be in office up to 3 days per week but may vary depending on business demands.
This role will require travel up to 20% of time, including international travel to the US and Europe.
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
A Sr. Manager to Talent Acquisition at Tandem Diabetes Care manages all aspects of full-lifecycle recruitment, leads a team of recruiters, and partners across the International markets to provide both hands-on and strategic leadership. This role will develop, implement, and evaluate, processes, programs and partnerships, helping to position the Tandem as an employer of choice in international markets. This role ensures effectiveness of staffing programs and the consistent interpretation and application of employment policies and practices in all aspects of the employment relationship. This role leads the realizations of Tandem’s International talent acquisition strategy by bringing together Tandem’s HR & TA teams, working closely with the Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence (COE), hiring managers, and other functional stakeholders to implement processes, identify top talent, and establish Tandem’s employer brand internationally. This role will hold direct responsibility for full-lifecycle recruitment on a variety of roles across multiple countries and will be expected to develop hiring plans and identify key hiring sources that will result in a pipeline of talent to fill positions in a timely manner.
A Sr. Manager of Talent Acquisition at Tandem also:
Leads the preparation and execution of innovative, cost-effective recruiting strategies and plans to meet talent objectives. Proactively works with management to understand staffing needs and develop staffing strategies. Leads staffing efforts for senior level positions within international markets, and other roles as needed and coordinates and manages candidate selection process including screening, scheduling, interviewing, offer extension, and acceptance. . Participates in second round interviews with hiring managers and other Human Resources team members. Partners with hiring managers to develop a detailed understanding of position criteria and requirements, establish interview teams, and identify recruiting sources to target qualified candidates to successfully fill each position. Provides leadership and mentoring to the international talent acquisition function and manages the selection, development, performance feedback, training, and promotion of department employees. Partners with TA COE and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion COE to: Identify opportunities to drive DEI in hiring processes & practices. Actively seek out partnerships, job boards, etc. To support recruiting strategies that provide access to diverse pipelines of talent. Identifies, fosters, and leverages relationships with external networks, recruitment partners, community partnerships, and diversity networks on behalf of Tandem. Aligns international talent acquisition team, hiring managers and interviewers around a consistent recruiting, interviewing, and hiring processes that ensure a highly positive candidate experience and recruiter/hiring manager efficiencies. Manages international staffing agencies and other related international vendor relationships, such as Employer of Record (EOR) and other employment related vendors; negotiates all international agency contracts and initiates vendor onboarding processes in Lexion and Coupa. Partners with Talent Operations (TO) COE and Marketing to initiate international social media activity as a part of the international employer branding strategy. Partners with Sr. Director, HR - International and Compensation to develop and finalize job offers. Provides finalized offers to recruiters for communication to candidates. Ensures a compliant selection process as per employment laws and regulations within a variety of international markets, including reporting and internal education In partnership with Sr. Director, HR – International, is responsible for international TA budget and schedule. Partners closely with Talent Operations (TO) COE to manage Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensure data integrity and regularly reports recruiting metrics and ensures international recruiting team appropriately utilize the system to navigate candidate lifecycle. Develops and manages on-boarding process, tracks and reports program effectiveness as well as additional associated employment programs including: employee referral, immigration, relocation, university relations and internships. Partners with TA COE to source, develop, and implement hiring team training programs (e.g. - interviewing skills training) to support recruitment and hiring effectiveness. Ensures department staff is properly trained, per designated training plan, before assuming job responsibilitiesWHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Ability to work in a matrixed environment Knowledge of international employment laws with multi-country employer experience. Skilled at effectively communicating department or area issues and results within and across functional areas and conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or timelines. Able to gain cooperation of others and influence up. Skilled at effectively leading a cooperative team effort and organizing resources to achieve business goals. Able to make and prioritize process and resource decisions based on overall team needs. Ability to represent Tandem at professional and business functions in a competent manner. Ability to maintain confidentiality and ability to work under pressure. Ability to assess a problem quickly and determine to what level it should be elevated, directly staff/customers to the correct person(s). Experienced with MS Office and Applicant Tracking Systems with Advanced Microsoft Office skills in Excel: Forms, Formulas, Functions, Pivot Tables, & Graphs and PowerPoint: Graphics & Animation Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Human Resources or related or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience. PHR/SPHR or other HR certification strongly preferred. 8 years of experience in recruiting. 5 years of experience leading/supervising others. Experience in scaling recruiting programs with multiple stakeholders.
