JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Manager of Web Content is responsible for leading the development and execution of content strategies that drive Ecommerce growth, optimize the user experience, and enhance brand presence across the website and app. This role works independently to oversee front end development, content creation and performance analysis, ensuring all digital content is aligned with business objectives and customer needs. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including marketing, SEO, UX, product, and design, to deliver high-impact content that increases engagement and conversions. The Senior Manager will also lead a team guiding content development and strategy while monitoring industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develop and Drive Content Strategy: Lead the planning and execution of website content that enhances customer engagement, supports sales growth, and delivers a seamless ecommerce experience, aligning with overall business goals and customer expectations. Optimize Content for Multi-Device Shopping: Ensure all content is designed to provide a consistent and personalized shopping experience across all devices and platforms, addressing the unique needs of different customer segments and markets. Lead Content Planning & Execution for Campaigns: Oversee the creation and management of content briefs, wireframes, and project workflows for marketing campaigns, product launches, and special projects, ensuring all content aligns with strategic objectives. Collaborate with Stakeholders on Content Strategy: Communicate content strategies, performance metrics, and ongoing updates to key business partners, ensuring alignment between content initiatives and broader business objectives. Manage Content Requests & Workflow: Oversee content requests from initiation to delivery, ensuring briefs are fulfilled accurately and on time. Collaborate with the content specialist and front-end development teams to ensure content is ready for seamless implementation. Ensure Content Quality & Accuracy: Validate all content prior to launch, ensuring that it meets brand standards, delivers a positive user experience, and aligns with SEO and performance optimization goals. Track & Analyze Content Performance: Maintain performance dashboards to monitor and analyze the success of content initiatives. Provide actionable insights and recommendations for optimization based on key performance indicators (KPIs) and campaign results. Conduct Competitive Analysis & Trend Research: Lead routine competitive analysis and benchmark performance against industry leaders. Document emerging trends and share insights with internal teams to inspire innovation and maintain a competitive edge in content strategy. Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and support content team members, providing guidance, feedback, and career development opportunities. Lead content planning and ideation sessions to ensure high-quality, creative, and impactful content delivery
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree Required, Digital Retailing, Merchandising or Marketing preferred 5+ years of experience in ecommerce or a related field. Experience with Salesforce (or similar Ecomm platforms), web analytics Tools, excel Familiarity with Agile workflows and project management tools, Jira and Workfront preferred Strong Leadership skills to guide, mentor and manage a team Effective communicator with the ability to influence and drive decision making process
