Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization
Develop and support Consumer Experience Store Concept for NAM (Us and Canada) that reflects the consumer and market distribution needs following a global guidance towards a consumer centric brand experience for all DTC physical retail touchpoints.
This role is responsible for supporting the Store Development team with flawless execution of concepts & formats (hyper-localization). Identify concept intention and customize according to market portfolio needs; collaborate with global partners regarding adjustments if global standard is not accurate, making recommendations for relevant localization changes.
This role is responsible for managing the Retail Store Design team with flawless execution of concepts & formats (hyper-localization), according to our Creative/Brand leadership & principles, resulting in world class consumer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Manage external retail agencies for concept development adaptations & project specific scopes for NAM, including required principles and guidelines. Manage relevant teams creating clear requirements and development of guidelines, structure and positioning to execute concepts whilst ensuring continued alignment to brand objectives and positioning Create and document design input for concept adaptations & iterations based on defined development pre-requisites and align on final outcome when necessary Manage the planning and implementation of store design which includes all new stores, existing fleet remodels, and if necessary closures Managing and Completing Testifits and feasibility studies for design projects Designs effective store layouts that optimize space utilization, and consistency adapts and translates store prototypes to various site conditions and locations Coordinate with store development team on budget considerations and value engineering efforts Drive and Create Schematic design Packages Review construction documents, shop drawings and landlord documentation Clearly and effectively Communicating with x-functional teams and team leadership to successfully facilitate the implementation of store design Analyse and document industry leading innovations in retail design and digital experience and ensure commerciality of concept with NAM expectations. Collaborate with global CE team and global brand design team whenever required. Manage own projects and tasks requiring in depth knowledge and judgment within design concepts and ensure alignment Any additional projects or tasks defined by the line manager Partner and support the market roll-out relevant teams to create clear requirements and development of guidelines, structure and positioning for NAM concepts execution Monitor the retail industry (brick and mortar, wholesale and digital) for best practices to understand the trends and conceptualize new methods or processes whenever required. Collaborate with all Global Retail Design teams and global brand design team whenever required. Manage own objectives & priorities and ensure training to marketplace including a communication loop for implementation learning and further enhancements. Manage own projects and tasks requiring in depth knowledge and judgment within design concepts Self-initiate assignments with emphasis on strategic, commercial and tactical focus Any additional projects or tasks defined by the line manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Fully qualified and experienced in store design, with combined theoretical and practical knowledge Strong organization skills and flexibility Proven track record in retail concept design development and implementation, including digital experience Demonstrating strength in delivering progressively complex projects of varying scale, budgets and timelines Expert in applying and performing design skills including drawing/ sketching, spatial design in scale, visual presentation development and space planning layouts in 2D and 3D Proven ability to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands and changes Proven ability to work independently as well as collaborate with teams across a mix of complex projects Demonstrate expertise using computer design applications including AutoCad, SketchUp, Rhino, V-ray, Miro, and Adobe Creative Suite Furniture design, material knowledge & detailing skills are an advantage Interest in technical & design innovations IT: Microsoft Office, AutoCad, SketchUp, Rhino, V-ray, Miro, and Adobe Creative Suite Strong Team management skills
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors / Masters degree in architecture, environmental design, interior architecture, or related fields or equivalent qualification as carpenter, interior decorator or similar Retail design industry/ environments experience preferred, retail environments, concepts and programs, fixture design 6-10 years relevant experience in retail development and design including fashion retailing 2+ years working with Global markets or 2+ years working in a relevant adidas market 2+ years management experience
