GILBANE is seeking to hire a Sr MEP Coordinator for our project in New Haven, CT.

Gilbane is seeking a Senior MEP Coordinator to be responsible for originating and leading all MEP processes (mechanical, electrical and plumbing), generally on a single large project. This role will sit primarily on the job site, with occasional travel to the office for trainings, meetings, etc.

Responsibilities Originate MEP Scopes of Work and participate in scope review meetingsOriginate MEP installation and commissioning activities within the Project ScheduleTrain others on MEP systemsDetermine the MEP subcontracting strategies for a projectDevelop MEP bid package schedule with input from the design team and ownerTrack progress of the MEP coordination process and ensure the deliverable meets contract requirements Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

BS OR MS degree in mechanical or electrical engineering10-20 years related field experience5+ years in a supervisory role on a $50 million - $100 million construction projectOr equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Ability to lead in a team environment and manage project subcontractorsStrong technical expertise and leadership for the installation of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systemsAble to lead the commissioning processExcellent problem solving skills and ability to adapt to changing needsDemonstrate strong risk management skillsMust have strong knowledge and appreciation of construction safety processes and ability to enforce the project safety planOSHA 30 hour certified

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.    
For Connecticut this ranges from $112,300.00-$154,400.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
